Mr. Michaud has 20 years of experience as a Georgia attorney working in the areas of real estate transactions, corporate governance and litigation. He is eminently qualified to provide the necessary guidance to our firm to help ensure each client’s satisfaction and success.

Mr. Michaud is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Auburn University, where he graduated with high honors. After law school, Mr. Michaud began his law practice in the area of commercial real estate with a boutique firm in Atlanta. Blessed with an adventurous spirit, he then helped pioneer the use of internet-based applications for the management of commercial real estate portfolios as general counsel of an early internet startup company. Returning to private practice after the company was sold, Mr. Michaud branched out into litigation and foreclosure defense, teaming up with a friend from law school, H. Scott Basham, to form Basham & Michaud, LLP, a general practice law firm that provides a broad range of legal services, including family law, criminal defense, consumer bankruptcy, residential and commercial real estate and civil litigation. Most of Mr. Michaud’s clients are business-minded individuals and small business owners, a clientele that he respects, admires and is proud to represent.
